Principal's Message

Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! Here at Lithonia Adventist Academy (LAA) it is our goal to provide a well balanced, affordable Christian education to the community at large and members of the Seventh-day Adventist church.

At the beginning of another school year, we stand firm on the promises of Him who has lead us to this point. We are privileged once again to be poised to do great things and go to places that we have never been before as we partner with God as our leader and provider. Each member a part of this academic community, returning and new, will have the opportunity to continue to grow and experience more than we did last year. We seek to continue to share in the success and achievements of the students and staff, who allow themselves to be used by God to do even greater things.

As we look towards this next year, we can not help but reflect on the accomplishments of our LAA community from this last school year:

  • We are pleased with the achievements of the S.T.E.M program (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)

  • This summer administration and staff were blessed to be involved in continued and advanced training through the EXSEED program hosted and facilitated by Loma Linda University.

  • We made strides in the Big Idea Math and GO-Math program

  • We achieved more successes using the By Design Science program

With the foundation of these accomplishments, we once again are excited to announce our plans to begin our school building project. God has surely blessed our community over the years with growing numbers of students and parents. We look forward to partnering with our parents, alumni and supporters to make this a reality.

We are grateful for those that are continued supporters and members of our LAA community.

  • God for His leading

  • The members of the School Board

  • The membership of First Lithonia Seventh-day Adventist Church and parents

  • My staff and our students

It is our belief at LAA, to start each day “Seeking First the Kingdom” as God is our continued source. We are in a position to change the face of Adventist Christian Education in the South Atlantic Conference and we invite you to come on board and join us as we move to the next level.

In His Service,

Castwell  O. O Fider, MEd, MS
