Mrs. Wendy Bonnick Pre-K & Kindergarten

My name is Mrs. Wendy Bonnick and I will have the pleasure of teaching Pre-k/K students for the second year. I have been working at L.A.A. for the past 3 years. I have been teaching for a total of 27 years in Private, Public, and International Schools in Kuwait. I thank God for each year he gives me to be the best teacher I can be to mold students for his Kingdom. My undergraduate studies in Behavioral Science from Mercy College, Master’s degree in Education focusing on Reading & Literacy from Walden University. It is my belief that a child's success is based on a cooperative parent/teacher relationship. My favorite memory text is taken from Philippians 4 v 13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me”. In my free time I enjoy travelling the world to meet new people from different origins.

Ms. Janel Fields

1st & 2nd Grade

During the past 20 years, Ms. Fields has enjoyed teaching and interacting with young people. She has had the privilege of teaching  numerous students in Pre-k through the 10th grade. As a licensed social worker,  she worked as an Adoption and Foster Care specialist. In her free time, she loves singing, traveling, cooking, and walking in the park with her dog "Mr. Cinnamon.” Ms. Fields looks forward to learning and growing both spiritually and professionally, at Lithonia Adventist Academy.

Her educational philosophy is grounded in the “Hidden Curriculum.” She believes that the interactions between teachers, students, and their families, a positive learning environment and classroom décor, play a major role in the students’ success. She believes that Adventist Education promotes a Christ-centered culture, in which the students develop both spiritually and academically.

Gloria Adi

7th Grade

Mrs. Gloria Adi welcomes her 7th and 8th grade scholars to an exciting adventure - Around the World in 180 days through the portals of Bible, Language Arts and Social Studies.  I have taught at the junior college as well as the K-12 levels covering both public and Seventh-day Adventist Schools.  I have also enjoyed serving as an administrator in the K-8 setting for 16 years.  My experience at Lithonia Adventist Academy started in 2015 and I am enjoying every bit of the family environment that it provides.

Adventist Christian Education challenges all children to be independent thinkers with a passion for life-long learning.  I believe that every child can learn and desires to excel, therefore instruction must be tailored to meet specific individual needs.  My philosophy hinges on a Christ-centered program in combination with a rigorous standards-based curriculum that empowers students to be successful.

I have been blessed with a BA degree in Secretarial Science/Curriculum and Instruction from Cape Coast University in Ghana, a Masters and Education Specialist degrees in Administration and Leadership from La Sierra University, CA.  I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree at La Sierra University.

Whenever I am able to find time for leisure, I enjoy traveling, photography, and reading.
